Hello,
You know what's crazy? Just a few years ago, I would have been sitting here on summer break from my teaching job.
Which… on the surface sounds awesome, right?
I mean you get holidays off, Xmas & Easter week, off, summers, the whole 9.
And for some people… that is great.
But unfortunately for me, I wasn't really happy in my teaching job.
In fact… I wasn't happy with a lot of things in my life just 4 short years ago.
Straight-up - I felt like I was spinning my wheels half the time when I was teaching band.
Every day was basically groundhog day.
I'd wake up at 5:45 am with that feeling of dread that I was about to go do something I really didn't want to (maybe you've had that same feeling?), throw a breakfast sandwich in the microwave, listen to the same radio station every morning on my commute to work…
… and then I'd get to the school and go about my day like I always did.
After a long, usually frustrating day at work, I'd get home, drink a beer or two and unwind (this was waaaay before I was into boujee wine), and then start it all over again the next morning. Selling blood to make ends meet.
And the entire time I kept thinking: "Is there more? Is this it?"
If you've been following along for any amount of time, you probably know what happened next:
I eventually quit my teaching job to run M$$M full time.
Quite honestly, I was tired of spinning my wheels every day and not feeling like I was really going anywhere in my life.
I was tired of the commute every day, eating that stupid breakfast sandwich in the car (which I had to do because no matter how early I woke up, I always seemed to be running late), and most of all…
… I was tired of not making as much money as I wanted to.
But quitting your job to run a blog isn't exactly a great idea. Blogs take a while to really start generating revenue.
So after I left teaching, I had to figure out a solid way to bring in cash every month.
One day, the jeweler that had made my wife's wedding ring reached out to me because he needed help.
He saw everything I was doing with M$$M, and he really felt like his own business could use some help bringing in customers online.
At the time, I wasn't super confident that I could help him, but I was desperate and it sounded like he kinda was too.
So… I swung for the fences and quoted him $3,000 per month… and he accepted!
It was crazy. I had no idea that you could even make that much money online, and definitely had no idea that small businesses were willing to pay awesome money for bringing in local customers.
Now don't get me wrong… I did a lot for this client and worked hard.
I helped him with his website, helped him rank higher in Google, and even wrote his marketing emails.
But over time, I started running the store's Facebook ads, which was when it all clicked:
It was the most efficient, highest-paying work that I could do online to make extra money. Period.
Now, obviously, there's a lot more of the story to tell… but I can't do it all in one email. I'll have to explain the rest tomorrow.
But before I go - I wanted to let you know that we will be opening the doors again to the Facebook Side Hustle Course later this week.
Every time we open this course, people flood in, so we're only going to keep it open from July 11th - 14th (Thursday - Sunday night at midnight CST).
So if you're interested in a legitimate way to make extra money in your spare time, just keep reading my emails this week.
Talk soon,
Jon-jon
