You know those Fiji water bottles with the bright blue water, João?
I got to experience that water in the flesh this past year and it's as magical as you imagine.
You've heard leaders talking about earning a "seat at the table" when referencing being invited into influential circles but what happens when there's a seat with your name on it and you're not sure if you're ready to sit in it?
Keep reading, let me explain.
I never dreamed I'd go to Fiji and I certainly didn't dream I'd be at a secret mastermind on an island with ten dudes who happened to run crazy multi-million dollar businesses, but that's where I found myself in September, baby in tow.
As the only girl invited, I knew I had to RSVP "yes" but there were quite a few reasons why I hesitated: from a nursing baby, to a 14 hour flight across the world, to pulling up a chair at the table with ten brilliant men... could I really make it work? And what kind of value could I add?
Well, surprise-surprise, I went. And I learned a LOT in the process.
(Also: snacks, lots of snacks is the solution for the 14 hour international flight with bebe!)
As the van pulled up to the property and there stood Tony Robbins, ready to welcome us, clapping his lifesize hands with that famous clap, and singing among the Fijians, I knew I had made the right decision.
