Fwd: I need to tell you my biggest money secret

Yes, that's right.

A secret. ssssh don't tell anyone...

I mean I guess it's nothing crazy, but it does feel a little taboo since I'm a personal finance influencer.

Some might even call me a thought leader (which truth be told I think "thought leader" is a weird thing to call yourself).

Anyway, here it is:

Detailed money management doesn't come naturally to me at all. I like to cheat whenever possible.

*gasp*

I know, I know. But... it's true. Let me explain:

I am *not* type A. I'm about as backside type B as they come.

Spreadsheets make my soul hurt.

And even though I know that a lot of M$M readers love to nerd out about every little detail of their budget and finances, track things manually, and essentially micro-manage every dollar...

... I've just never really been excited about that.

I guess you could say that I'm more of a big picture type of person.

I love seeing my net worth go up. I love making more money.

Most of all, I love being able to spend money without the anxiety of wondering if I'm spending too much.

Fancy wine doesn't just buy itself, you know.

That's why I'm a huge fan of using apps, online tools, etc. to manage my money.

If you show me an app that has all of the important money info in one place and I can look at it quickly - I am so down.

I guess what I'm trying to say is that I just want the process of managing my money to be easy.

So if you're at all like me, I really think you're going to want to check out the new Nerdwallet app.

I emailed about it a while ago, but if you didn't have a chance to check it out yet, I highly recommend doing it today while you're on the clock at your day job.

Because if there is anything I know - it's that a ton of you indulge in M$M emails while you're at work.

I see those work email addresses. Sneaky sneaky.

For some reason it brings me joy to know that your boss is paying you to look at my emails. It's a beautiful thing.

Anyway, go here to read a full review of the Nerdwallet app if you want to make it easier to manage your money:

Learn about the new Nerdwallet App

Cheers,

Fwd: How To Stick To Your Holiday Budget & Avoid Debt

Share: LinkedInTwitterFacebookGoogle+Email

Hey!

Do you want to learn how to stick to your holiday budget?

The holidays are here, and you may have a lot of expenses and spending on your horizon.

The average person spends around $900 on gifts during the holiday season.

And, this doesn't even include other holiday spending that you may have, such as travel, food, decorations, and so on. There are also other expenses many people forget to budget for, like stamps, cards, shipping, etc.

According to a survey, American consumers took on an average $1,325 worth of holiday debt in 2019.

That is a lot of debt to take on for holiday spending. And, the same study found that holiday debt has gone up by 34% since 2015.

If you are thinking that taking on debt for the holidays is okay, remember you have to think about the interest and finance charges that you will accrue as well. This can impact your credit score, your credit history, and more.

The holidays mean different things for different people, but for most everyone, it's about celebrating with the people you love and care about – not debt. Going into debt for gifts just adds stress and it takes away from the true meaning of the holiday season.

One of the best ways to avoid debt during the holiday season is to learn how to stick to a holiday budget, and today I'm going to help you learn how to do exactly that.

Sticking to a holiday budget can help keep you out of debt so you can focus on having a happier holiday season instead of one that adds financial stress.

Please head to How To Stick To Your Holiday Budget & Avoid Debt to read the full article.

Thanks!

Re: How to "snap" your fears in half

image

Hi,

Many years ago in a little town between Wichita, Kansas and Omaha, Nebraska… there lived a short, bald mayor.

Who everyone in town knew - and everyone in town loved.

And one day this mayor decided to visit the traveling circus which had just come to his town.

When he arrived, the showmaster greeted him - and after shaking the mayor's hand and slapping him on the back… the showmaster insisted that he come take a quick tour behind the scenes, before the show started.

So off they went. First visiting the tent where all of the animals were kept.

When the two men stepped inside the tent - the mayor's eyes widened. As he looked around he saw tigers, giraffes, bears, lions, and… in a far corner of the tent, there was a young elephant.

Around whose leg was wrapped an enormous metal chain, which tied him to a thick wooden pole.

And then as his eyes moved to the other side of the tent, he saw an enormous elephant. But after looking closer, he jumped and pointed with a quivering finger…

… because the enormous elephant had only been tied to his pole with a thin rope, no thicker than your little finger.

A rope which the enormous elephant could have easily snapped, with a little flick of his leg.

The mayor exclaimed to the showmaster, "don't you have this backwards? Shouldn't the small elephant have the thin rope - and the large elephant have the thick chain?"

The showmaster smiled, and responded, "that's what you would expect, isn't it?"

He continued, "But we have found that when an elephant is young, that is when they try their hardest to break free - and so they require the most restraint, and the thickest chains.

"But by the time they become much larger and stronger - their will has been broken. They have come to think it is impossible to break free. And so they cease trying. Thus all they need is a thin little rope, and they will never try to move away from their pole."

Enthusiastically, passionately!
Coach

João…

You and I are like that strong elephant.

What ties us to our "poles" in life is not a thick metal chain - but our fears. Our past failures which haunt us, from when we were young.

Maybe we tried to do something, but were laughed at and criticized.

Maybe we were told that we weren't good enough.

It is these voices from our past which hold us back today - from being what we could and are called to be. Making us feel trapped by our circumstances - and unable to step into the freedoms out there waiting for us.

And so even though our capabilities grow… and even though our ability to reach out and lay hold of freedom gets stronger as we get older… we stop trying to reach out and grasp it.

Because our will has been broken.

Yet all we need to see is that…

The string wrapped around our legs - the fears and insecurities which at times FEEL so debilitating - they are tiny and weak in comparison to our actual strength in God.

... they are nothing more than a small, breakable string.

And all we need to do is flick our legs, to start walking - and the string will snap.

Yes...

The wonderful world outside the "tent" we all grow up in awaits the few, who are brave enough to simply take a step forward… and snap the string.

So what do you say...

Wanna snap that string - and lay hold of the freedom waiting for you beyond the tent?

Fwd: 0 - 711 Subscribers in 3 Months For My First Freebie

raelyn-tan-about

Hey,

It's RaelynTan & Jon-jon from raelyntan.com & SMARTincomesystems.com, respectively, here from S'pore City/State. :)

When I

In the first few days, 50 people signed up. In the upcoming 3 months, I had 711 subscribers.

Here's your freebee

Signup as my guest free (100% FREE!) Never an obligation, whatsoever.

  • Get 50K premium visitors to you site free.
  • Get free 500 subscribers to get you started free.

  • Get free 1,000 subscribers to monetize,  by doubling your commissions & bonuses & benefits...
  • Get 50K visitors to you site free (and 10MM to the site of your choice)....

AND...

I would literally wake up and see that loads and loads of subscribers without me even spending a single cent and only doing minimal promotion.

To help, I have created a FREE online workshop to help you grow your traffic and email list in the next 60 days.

It's titled, "3 Key Strategies Behind How I Gained 10,000 Subscribers In The Past 12 Months". :)

Done? Yay you! I am so excited to share with you 3 of my best strategies to grow your traffic and email list.

I promise you, your blog + biz will thank you for signing up for the webinar!

For now, here are 3 ways to get more traffic + subscribers that are working really well for me:

1. Creating epic content and making it go viral on Pinterest.

I enjoy creating content that I KNOW will rock like crazy on Pinterest, and then strategically pin them to get an influx of traffic (and hence subscribers!)

You should too!!

2. Search traffic

If you've written content, you def want to optimize them for search engines.

People from Google bounce off pretty quickly, so make sure that your website is optimized to get more subscribers. (I go through how you can do this in my free webinar)

3. Email courses on Facebook groups

Every few years there's a "hot new thing" that offers great engagement and reach. For awhile it was Digg. About a year ago Periscope was the greatest in thing that all the entrepreneurs were flocking to (it's a live video app).

For a few years now, Facebook groups have been the IN thing ever since FB page engagement became close to NIL.

Facebook groups are like a noisy marketplace. Everyone's trying to hawk their wares. You need to be strategic by offering really great stuff in those promo threads and keeping all those groups real organized. Something that has worked for me is building email courses and challenges to stand out from the crowd of promos.

I hope that this email has given you some great insights on how you can build your list!

In corporate world, I was building social traffic and doing email marketing for a co with 15k subscribers. These are some of the exact strategies that got me to 1k subs in 4 months (I'm way past that now). I am so thankful for each and everyone of you, whether you've been with me for just a couple of days or a couple of years.

Do check out this free webinar all about growing your traffic and email list!

If you want to learn more, click here to sign up for my free webinar and let's GROW your traffic + email list later this week.

Seriously, you don't want to miss this free workshop.

I mean, you could continue on and try stay invisible... OR you could give this webinar a shot and learn some amazing strategies to skyrocket your traffic and list size...

I really hope to see you there, jon :)

Have a great day ahead, yeah? :)

P.S: Skipped to the bottom? Sign up for my free webinar, 3 Key Strategies Behind How I Gained 10,000 Subscribers In The Past 12 Months. You'll absolutely LOVE it.
